MOSCOW, October 8. /TASS/. First two trains have set out from Sevastopol and Simferopol to the mainland after the explosion on the Crimea bridge, the Grand Express Service company wrote in its Telegram channel on Saturday,

"Simferopol - Moscow Bi-level Train 28 departed the capital city of Crimea at 17.10 on schedule. Sevastopol - St. Petersburg Train 8 departed from Sevastopol at 17.15. The trains will run on the Crimea bridge," the post says.

A TASS correspondent reported from Sevastopol that there were not many passengers to board the train bound for St. Petersburg. Some were travelling with young children, and pet baskets could be seen next to some cars of the train.

On Saturday morning railway service between the Crimean peninsula and the mainland was suspended after a truck exploded on the Crimea bridge. Three people were killed and two sections of the bridge’s road part collapsed. The part of the bridge connecting Crimea with the Krasnodar Region was not reportedly damaged. The traffic on the bridge was completely stopped, but after 04.00 p.m. Moscow time it was partly reopened for buses and automobiles.
