MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin and Myanmar Prime Minister Min Aung Hlaing held talks in Naypyidaw and discussed military and military-technical cooperation, the Defense Ministry reported.
"The delegation of the Russian Defense Ministry headed by Deputy Defense Minister Colonel General Alexander Fomin has concluded a working visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Within the framework of the visit in the Myanmar capital of Naypyidaw, negotiations were held between Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin and Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing," the statement said.
The senior Russian defense official congratulated Min Aung Hlaing on the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Myanmar Armed Forces and handed over a congratulatory letter from Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov. "During the meeting, issues of military and military-technical cooperation were discussed," the ministry added.
