Russian agency to investigate Ukrainian strike on Kursk Region town as terrorist attack

MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. The Russian Investigative Committee said it started looking into the Ukrainian strike on the Kursk Region town of Rylsk, classifying it as a terrorist attack.

Investigators see constituent elements of an offense provided for by Part 3 of Article 205 of the Russian Criminal Code, or a terrorist act, the committee said in a statement.

According to the agency, on Friday, fighters of Ukrainian armed formations used long-range weapons to carry out a missile strike on the town of Rylsk in the Kursk Region, where civilians were present. The militants chose civilian facilities as targets. According to preliminary data, some people were killed or injured. Their exact number is being verified.
