MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. The date of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s next visit to Russia is currently being agreed upon via diplomatic channels, Russia’s Izvestia daily learned from the Russian embassy in Venezuela.

"Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has an invitation to pay a visit to Russia. Timeframes are now being agreed upon via diplomatic channels," the embassy said.

Earlier this month, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko handed over the Russian president’s invitation to Maduro during his visit to Venezuela. "We look forward to your visit to Russia in 2025 for the signing of the treaty on strategic partnership and cooperation" between the two countries," the senior Russian official told the Venezuelan leader at a reception at the Miraflores Palace.

Nicolas Maduro visited Russia in October to participate in the BRICS summit in Russia’s Volga Area city of Kazan, where he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
