Russia unveils domestically made smartphone, new OS

The new smartphone is fitted with an AMOLED display featuring a 6.7" diagonal and FullHD+ resolution

MOSCOW, December 18. /TASS/. The R-PHONE smartphone produced jointly by the ROSA and Rutek companies with the new Rosa Mobile operating system has been showcased for the first time in Moscow, TASS reports.

The R-PHONE will be available in 2024 and purchase requests will start on December 18.

The new smartphone is fitted with an AMOLED display featuring a 6.7" diagonal and FullHD+ resolution. The main camera is 50 megapixels and the front one is rated for 16 megapixels, the company’s press service informed.

The smartphone has a MediaTek Helio G99 eight-core processor and 8 GB of RAM, enough to comfortably multitask, developers say. The phone has a built-in memory of 128 GB with an option to expand it using MicroSD.

The ROSA Mobile operating system was presented in addition to the smartphone. Its ecosystem comprises several critical services for users, including an integrated ID, an appstore, a cloud service, and a service of push notifications.
