BEIJING, November 12. /TASS/. Moscow and Beijing need to counter the policy of dual containment pursued by the US and its satellites, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu said at a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
"We are ready to continue making joint efforts with you to implement the agreements reached by President Vladimir Putin of Russia and President Xi Jinping of China during their talks in Moscow in March 2023 and in Beijing in May this year, as well as on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Astana and the BRICS Summit in Kazan," Shoigu stated.
"In my view, the most important goal in this regard is to counter the policy of dual containment of Russia and China pursued by the US and its satellites, as well as to further expand foreign policy coordination, including in building the Eurasian architecture of equal and indivisible security," the top Russian security official added.
Shoigu arrived in China on a working visit on Monday. He is expected to hold meetings with the country’s top political leadership.
