MOSCOW, November 5. /TASS/. The ceremony of presenting credentials to Russian President Vladimir Putin from foreign ambassadors is underway in the Alexander Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace.
In total, ambassadors of 28 countries will present credentials to the Russian leader, including from the states unfriendly to Russia. Today's ceremony is attended by Akira Muto from Japan, Sarah Taylor from Canada, and Simona Galperin of Israel. The list of representatives also includes: Enrique Ignacio Ferrer Vieyra from Argentina, Michel Gerebtzoff from Belgium, Jesper Vahr from Denmark, Julian Clare from Ireland, Ricardo Martinez Vazquez from Spain, Cecilia Piccioni from Italy, Joanneke Balfoort from the Netherlands, Mark Julian Trainor from New Zealand and Marja Elina Liivala from Finland.
The Russian president will receive credentials from ambassadors of friendly states as well. Among them are Vinay Kumar from India, Alexander Rogozhnik from Belarus, Kubanychbek Bokontaev from Kyrgyzstan, Rahman Mustafayev from Azerbaijan and Gurgen Arsenyan from Armenia, New ambassadors will also arrive from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, Israel, Kenya, Laos, Malaysia, Malta, Myanmar, Niger, and Ethiopia.
The ceremony of presenting credentials symbolizes the start of new ambassador's diplomatic career in Russia. Today’s ceremony is the first in the series of such events scheduled for 2024. Last time Putin met with new ambassadors to Russia on December 4, 2023, when the Russian president received credentials from 21 diplomats.
