Thermal power plant in Ukraine’s Vinnytsia region reports equipment damage

It is specified that special services are working on the spot

KIEV, October 11. /TASS/. The power equipment of the Ladyzhynskaya thermal power plant in the Vinnytsia region of Ukraine was damaged, the press service of the thermal power plant reported on Tuesday.

"The plant's power equipment was damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Currently, only critically required personnel is at the facility for safety reasons. The workers are in shelters," according to a statement on the plant’s page in Facebook (banned in Russia; owned by corporation Meta, which is recognized as extremist organization in Russia).

The press service specified that special services are working on the spot. "When the security situation resolves, the power engineers will assess the damage and begin restoring the damaged equipment," the press service added.

Earlier on Tuesday, the head of the Vinnytsia regional administration, Sergey Borzov, reported explosions. He also stated that drone strikes were carried out at the Ladyzhynskaya TPP. However, later, he removed information about strikes on TPPs from his Telegram channel, leaving only a statement about "hits", without specifying what facilities he was talking about.
