Kiev’s plan was to turn ZNPP into dirty nuclear bomb — Russian MFA

It is noted that earlier, Vladimir Zelensky urged NATO to carry out preemptive strikes against Russia

MOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. Kiev’s plan was to convert the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant into a dirty nuclear bomb, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said.

"Extremist shellings of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant confirm this, too," Zakharova said on Russia’s TV Channel One while commenting on Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s calls for preventive strikes against Russia. "We have stressed all along that these attacks are deliberate, that this is real uclear blackmail, that these strikes can be qualified as terrorist, because this is a civilian nuclear facility that generates energy for the functioning of other civilian facilities. The ideology was precisely this - to do everything possible for creating a threat to this nuclear facility and simply to use it as a dirty nuclear bomb."

Earlier, Zelensky urged NATO to carry out preemptive strikes against Russia. The head of the State Duma’s committee on international affairs, Leonid Slutsky, while commenting on this statement on Thursday, said that Zelensky was drawing the Western countries into nuclear rhetoric and pushing the whole world towards nuclear disaster.
