Situation with ship near Tuapse stabilized – regulator

There are 28 people on board: citizens of Georgia and Turkey, the press service of the Russian Sea and River Transport reported

KRASNODAR, June 19. /TASS/. The situation on board of the vessel flying the flag of Cameroon has stabilized, press service of the Russian Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport told TASS.

"[The vessel] is in shallow waters; it was listed. There is a tug nearby if the help is needed. Twenty eight individuals are on board: nationals of Georgia and Turkey. The situation is stable so far; we have no data [that it] is in distress," the press service said.

The regional department of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies said earlier that the vessel ran aground in the Tuapse district, the Black Sea. It carries vegetables and crews, the crew is on board and there was malfunction in operation of the ship ballasting system.
