Special police unit apprehends man threatening to blow up Kiev bank

Bomb experts are working at the site, according to the latest data

KIEV, August 3. /TASS/. The Ukrainian special police have apprehended a man who entered a bank in downtown Kiev threatening to blow it up, Deputy Interior Minister Anton Gerashchenko announced Monday.

"Terrorist captured alive. The explosion didn't happen," Gerashchenko wrote via Facebook. According to him, the perpetrator will later stand trial and face a "long term prison sentence."

Bomb experts are working at the site.
