MOSCOW, January 4. /TASS/. The bodies of all 39 people who were killed in the collapse of a section of a dwelling house in Magnitogorsk have been identified, Russian First Deputy Emergencies Minister Alexander Chupriyan told journalists on Friday.
"Yes, they were identified. We can say that all 39 bodies were identified," Chupriyan said.
On the morning of December 31 a section of a dwelling house in Magnitogorsk collapsed. The search and rescue operation continued four days on a round-the-clock basis. On January 3, the Emergencies Ministry declared its end.
Eighteen people were rescued in the first hours after the tragedy, and six more, including two children, were saved during the subsequent operation when clearing the debris.
