Russia, BRICS partners plan to develop investment platform — Putin

The Russian leader explained that the investment platform is intended to become a serious instrument for supporting the economies of the BRICS countries and providing them with financial resources

MOSCOW, December 4. /TASS/. Russia's BRICS partners have generally agreed on the idea of developing an investment platform for the association, noting that it has good prospects, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the VTB Forum "Russia Calling!".

"Russia's leadership in financial technologies allows us to flexibly build relations with foreign partners, promote integration projects, and benefit from unifying our countries' economic potential. In particular, the work on the investment platform that we are currently conducting with our BRICS partners, or at least we are starting this work. In general, all our partners agreed that this work is interesting and useful for everyone and has good prospects," he said.

Putin explained that the investment platform is intended to become a serious instrument for supporting the economies of the BRICS countries and providing them with financial resources. "The advanced development of information technology that Russia show, our advanced financial solutions will be a significant contribution to the development of this platform, a factor in its success. I have no doubt that it will be achieved, which is necessary for the development of international business cooperation, for increasing mutual investments and building new production chains," he concluded.
