Moscow region authorities and Chinese investors to create industrial park — official

Minister of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow region Ekaterina Zinovieva stressed that Chinese investors accounted for about 25 billion rubles ($270 mln) of investment

MOSCOW, December 22. /TASS/. The authorities of the Moscow region, together with Chinese investors, are planning to create an industrial park in the region, deputy chairman of the Moscow region, Minister of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow region Ekaterina Zinovieva said in an interview with TASS.

"We are planning to create a joint industrial park with Chinese investors. We are already working on selecting a site," she said.

She stressed that Chinese investors now account for about 25 billion rubles ($270 mln) of investment. Most Chinese companies are located in the Greenwood business park in Krasnogorsk. Zinovieva explained that Greenwood is part of the state corporation China Chengtong Holding Group Ltd. During the visit of a delegation from the Moscow region to China in October of this year, joint work to attract Chinese investors to the region was discussed with the management of the corporation.

In addition, Zinovieva said that logistics projects are being implemented with Chinese partners.

"Liaoning Port Group created the Bely Rast terminal and logistics complex in the Moscow region together with Russian Railways Terminal OJSC. The project is colossal: actual investments have already amounted to 11.8 billion rubles ($128 mln), and the total planned volume is 24 billion rubles ($260 mln). The first launch complex has already been launched logistics center, the commissioning of second-stage facilities will increase capacity by 2.6 times. In the future, this hub will be the main bridge for Moscow region exporters to China," the official noted.
