Fesco transport group opens subsidiary in Turkey

The company’s activities will be aimed at organizing the delivery of project cargo for energy, petrochemical and gas-to-chemicals enterprises being constructed on the territory of Turkey and Central Asian countries

MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. Fesco has opened a daughter company in Turkey to develop transport and logistics services in the region, the press service of the transport group said in a statement on Friday.

"Fesco transport group has opened a subsidiary in the Turkish Republic to develop transport and logistics services in the region. Headquartered in Mersin, Fesco Turkey will be involved in providing a full range of transport and logistics services to clients in Turkey," the statement reads.

The company’s activities will be aimed at organizing the delivery of project cargo for energy, petrochemical and gas-to-chemicals enterprises being constructed on the territory of Turkey and Central Asian countries.

"Turkey’s increased role in trade turnover with Russia enabled Fesco to substantially extend the range of its logistics services in the Black Sea and in the East Mediterranean last year. Seeing steady demand from the side of both Turkish and Russian companies, we decided to open a subsidiary in the republic that will allow intensifying Fesco’s expansion in the region," Fesco board chairman Andrey Severilov was quoted as saying.

Fesco Transport Group is one of Russia’s leading privately-owned transportation and logistics companies with assets in the areas of port, railway and integrated logistics businesses. It controls the Commercial Port of Vladivostok, the Transgarant and Dalreftrans rail operators, and fitting platform operator Russkaya Troyka.
