Hitachi suspends operations in Russia

Hitachi Construction Machinery already announced the suspension of heavy machinery exports to Russia, such as hydraulic excavators

TOKYO, March 10. /TASS/. Hitachi suspends its business in Russia, the company said in a statement released on Thursday.

Products and technical support of electrical systems and electrical equipment will be an exception, the corporation said. The company was also producing and selling construction machinery but sales on the Russian market totaled about 0.5% in total revenues of the corporation, Hitachi said.

Hitachi Construction Machinery, the company’s subsidiary, already announced the suspension of heavy machinery exports to Russia, such as hydraulic excavators.
