Foreign customers eye Russian Supercam recon UAVs — manufacturer

The Unmanned Systems Group of Companies always offers its most advanced products to Belarus, which is its basic international partner

MOSCOW, August 19. /TASS/. Post-Soviet states, Persian Gulf and Southeast Asian countries show interest in Russian Supercam reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), a spokesman for the Unmanned Systems Group of Companies (the Supercam producer) told TASS on Tuesday.

"We offer our products to post-Soviet states, basically CSTO [Collective Security Treaty Organization] members, Persian Gulf, Southeast Asian and other countries. The focus is, undoubtedly, on CSTO member states as it is expedient to have unified armament and military equipment in this organization for the convenience of interaction and interchangeability in case of the need of defense maneuvers. Foreign customers display interest in Supercam drones but, as you understand, we cannot name right now specific countries and the stages of negotiations," the spokesman said.

The Unmanned Systems Group actively promotes its flagship Supercam S350 reconnaissance UAV system, he said.

The Group always offers its most advanced products to Belarus, which is its basic international partner, he said.

"The Republic of Belarus is our traditional market. For this fraternal country, we always offer our newest products because we have common defense space within the [Russia-Belarus] Union State and we are always in touch with Belarusian servicemen who use Supercam UAVs and we promptly respond to incoming requests and proposals," the spokesman said.
