Twenty-two humanitarian corridors opened in Ukraine on March 23 — Defense Ministry

According to Mizintsev, Ukraine announced 14 additional routes from Kiev, Donetsk and Lugansk

MOSCOW, March 23. /TASS/. Russia opened eight humanitarian corridors while Ukraine proposed 14 more routes on March 23, Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the Russian National Center for Defense Management, said on Wednesday.

"From 10:00 on March 23, 2022, Russia for the 20th time reopened humanitarian corridors from Kiev, Chernigov, Sumy and Kharkov," he said. "From each of the cities, one humanitarian corridor went to the Russian Federation and one more toward the western borders of Ukraine through the territories controlled by the Kiev authorities."

According to Mizintsev, Ukraine announced 14 additional routes from Kiev, Donetsk and Lugansk. "Of the routes we proposed for the current day, official Kiev has once again cynically didn’t approve a single humanitarian corridor," the general said.

He said the Kiev government doesn’t allow any attempts to evacuate people to Russia. At the same time, in order to save the lives of civilian population, Russia agreed to all of Ukraine’s proposals.

"The Russian armed forces strictly observe the ceasefire on all routes, including those that were announced by the Ukrainian side," Mizintsev said.
