"The situation in the DPR has dramatically deteriorated. Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian military has violated the ceasefire 247 times, in particular, they used the weapons banned by the Minsk agreements 166 times," he stated.
According to the DPR’s operational command, the Ukrainian military used 122-mm artillery shells twice and in general fired sixteen 82-mm and 120-mm mines at the residential areas of the Trudovskiye and Staromikhailovka settlements. The town of Yasinovataya and its suburbs of Spartak and Zhabichevo were attacked with ninety-three 82-mm and 120-mm mines. Five 122-mm mines were fired at the Zaytsevo settlement north of Gorlovka, that was also bombarded by tanks. In addition, Yasinovataya, Gorlovka and Zaytsevo, as well as the Kominternovo and the Sakhanka settlements in the southern DPR, were attacked with rocket-propelled grenade launchers and firearms.
According to Basurin, "as a result of the attacks at the positions of the DPR’s military, two militiamen were killed, one more was wounded when a fuel dispenser was blown up by a blast from a mine planted by a covert Ukrainian subversive group."
In mid-September, the DPR declared a complete and unconditional ceasefire along the line of engagement in Donbass.
