DUSHANBE, October 9. /TASS/. Today’s talks between delegations of Tajikistan and Russia as part of Russian President Vladimir Putin's state visit shows the sides are committed to putting earlier agreements into place, Tajik leader Emomali Rahmon said.
"Our meetings today underscored the commitment to previously reached agreements in line with our strategic partnership," he said at talks with Putin involving the two leaders’ delegations.
The Russian head of state is making a state visit to Tajikistan. Later on Thursday, Putin will take part in the second Central Asia-Russia summit in Dushanbe, and on Friday, the Tajik capital will host a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
