MOSCOW, March 17. /TASS/. Cooperation between the special services and law enforcement agencies of Tajikistan and Russia has recently yielded concrete results, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon said after talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin.
"Today we discussed in detail cooperation in the sphere of security. The special services and law enforcement agencies of our countries have established close and fruitful cooperation, which has yielded concrete results in recent years," the Tajik leader said. According to him, the two sides' cooperation in this area covers a wide range of issues in countering threats and challenges to security, including terrorism, extremism, manifestations of radicalism, transnational organized crime, including cybercrime, and drug trafficking.
The Russian Defense Ministry earlier reported that Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin and Tajik Defense Minister Emomali Sobirzoda agreed on plans to develop bilateral military and military-technical cooperation.
