Houthi movement strikes US aircraft carrier — spokesperson

The US forces were preparing a "major strike" against the Yemen’s territory

DUBAI, December 31. /TASS/. Yemen’s Houthis from the rebel Ansar Allah movement attacked the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier with missiles and drones, said Yahya Saree, the organization’s military spokesperson.

"The Yemen’s Navy, the rocket troops and the unmanned systems troops conducted a joint operation, during which the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman was attacked by a large number of drones and cruise missiles," the spokesman said in a statement streamed by Al Masirah television.

The US forces were preparing a "major strike" against the Yemen’s territory, Saree noted. "The operation successfully reached its targets and the US air attack being prepared against our country was disrupted," he added.
