Elon Musk echoes concerns of unsecured US-Mexico border leading to another 9/11

The US businessman said in March that the Biden administration was doing nothing to prevent illegal immigrants from committing crimes in the country

NEW YORK, April 9. /TASS/. The problems that the US is facing on the border with Mexico may lead to another 9/11-scale terrorist attack, former US presidential contender Vivek Ramaswamy said - a concern shared by billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk.

"If we don’t seal our southern border and start mass deportations, we’re paving the way for another 9/11-scale tragedy," Ramaswamy wrote on the X social media platform. "Only a matter of time," Musk commented.

Musk said in March that the Biden administration was doing nothing to prevent illegal immigrants from committing crimes in the country. He backed Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s idea of ensuring security on the Mexican border without help from the Washington administration. Earlier, Musk also warned that the US would fall unless Washington reformed its immigration policy.

On September 11, 2001, 19 terrorists from the Al-Qaeda terror group (outlawed in Russia) hijacked four passenger planes in the US. Two of them crashed into the World Trade Center twin towers - the highest buildings in New York at the time. The third plane crashed into the Pentagon building near Washington. The fourth aircraft, which was heading for Washington DC, crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The terrorist attacks killed a total of 2,977 people.
