TEL AVIV, November 30. /TASS/. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told US Secretary of State Antony Blinken that Israel will continue the war in Gaza until it achieves three goals: the release of hostages held by the radicals, the elimination of the Hamas movement and the guaranteed neutralization of the threat originating from the Gaza Strip.
"I have just finished my meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, soon after Hamas terrorists killed Israelis here in Jerusalem, and I told him: it is the same Hamas that carried out the October 7 massacre, the same Hamas that tries to kill us everywhere. We will continue this war until we achieve three goals: the liberation of our abductees, the total elimination of Hamas and guarantee that such threat will never return in the Gaza Strip," the Prime Minister said in a video address.
"I told [Blinken]: we [the Israeli military cabinet] have sworn, I and have sworn to destroy Hamas. Nothing will stop us," Netanyahu added.
Earlier on Thursday, the Prime Minister told Blinken that he would like to continue the discussion of the "next phase" in the Gaza Strip.
Blinken arrived in Israel on Thursday to meet with the Israeli leadership and to visit the West Bank for negotiations with Palestinian authorities. Prior to meeting with Netanyahu, Blinken met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog.
