Lukashenko expects cooperation between Minsk, Tehran to reach new heights

On March 12, the Belarusian leader arrived on an official visit in Tehran

MINSK, March 13. /TASS/. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said on Monday he believed that Minsk and Tehran can reach a new level of cooperation with the highest degree of efficiency.

"The experience of my communication with the former presidents of Iran and the negotiations that we have had suggest that the ongoing visit is remarkable as it will offer an opportunity to reach a new stage of our cooperation," BelTA news agency cited Lukashenko as saying during his meeting with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in Tehran on Monday.

"And this cooperation will be highly efficient. I make such assumptions based on the agreements that we have already reached," Lukashenko added.

On March 12, Lukashenko arrived on an official visit in Tehran. He was scheduled to hold talks on Monday with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and a host of high-ranking government officials and senior lawmakers.
