BEIJING, March 3. /TASS/. China is appealing to follow the principles of dialogue in international relations, avoiding the policy of the use of force and bloc confrontations, Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang said at the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in New Delhi.
"We need to promote multilateralism, follow the principles of dialogue, a level playing field for all, and agree on a common solution through consultation, avoiding policies of force or bloc confrontation," Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning quoted him as saying during a briefing on Friday.
The Chinese foreign minister also urged to combat unilateral policies, protectionism and to resist attempts to disrupt supply chains.
The G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting was held in the Indian capital on March 2. The G20 Foreign Ministers failed to adopt a joint declaration. The final document was the chairman’s summary. This was due to Russia and China disagreeing on two provisions concerning the situation in Ukraine.
