BUDAPEST, November 16. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky acted irresponsibly when he accused Russia of conducting a missile strike on eastern Poland, Hungarian Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff Gergely Gulyas said on Wednesday, commenting on Tuesday’s missile incident.

"The Ukrainians are responsible for the Ukrainian president acting irresponsibly and immediately accusing the Russians of doing it," he said at a meeting with reporters. However, Gulyas said that "only Russia is responsible for the war" in Ukraine.

The Hungarian prime minister’s chief of staff also emphasized that the incident in eastern Poland once again highlighted the need for the opposing parties to end hostilities as soon as possible.

On Tuesday, a missile fell in the village of Przewodow in eastern Poland on the border with Ukraine, killing two people. According to Polish President Andrzej Duda, it wasn’t a deliberate attack on the country. Warsaw explained that it most probably had been an S-300-like missile made in the 1970s, which had been fired by Ukrainian air defense forces.
