ANKARA, May 21. /TASS/. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told his Finnish counterpart Sauli Niinisto in their phone conversation that ignoring the threat of terrorist organization does not meet the spirit of NATO, the Turkish president’s office said on Saturday.
"President Erdogan stated that ignoring the threat by terrorist organizations to a NATO ally falls short of the alliance’s spirit. President Erdogan asserted [Ankara’s] natural right to expect respect and support for Turkey’s legitimate and determined fight against the evident threat to national security and the nation," Erdogan’s office reported.
