SIMFEROPOL, November 8. /TASS/. A Crimean resident has been apprehended for transferring sensitive data to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), the local department of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol told reporters.
"It was established that a resident of the Leninsky District of the Republic of Crimea, born in 1992, moved to contact the Main Intelligence Directorate at the Ukrainian Defense Ministry and transferred information about military facilities in Feodosia and air defenses deployed in the region to a foreign intelligence agent," the FSB said in a statement.
A criminal probe has been launched. A district court in Simferopol has ruled to detain the defendant who may face up to a life sentence. An investigation is underway.
