Kremlin pushes back against WSJ claim that Russia overly dangerous for journalists

Dmitry Peskov also emphasized that Russia now has "very strict legislation regarding the sphere of information, but these laws are clear and precise"

NEW YORK, March 29. /TASS/. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has disagreed with The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) newspaper's assertion that Russia is one of the most dangerous places in the world for journalists.

"There are many truly dangerous countries in the world for journalists," Peskov told WSJ, as quoted in an article on censorship in journalism in different countries.

He also emphasized that Russia now has "very strict legislation regarding the sphere of information, but these laws are clear and precise. Those who violate them are punished."
