Kaliningrad welcomes 58 visitors from 38 countries under World Youth Festival program

The ‘Country Without Borders’ itinerary will showcase the region’s historical, cultural and natural diversity as well as the local cuisine

KALININGRAD, March 13. /TASS/. Russia’s westernmost region of Kaliningrad has welcomed 58 guests from 38 countries within the framework of the World Youth Festival regional program, the local government reported.

"Within the framework of the World Youth Festival, 58 guests from 38 countries have arrived in Kaliningrad. ‘Country Without Borders’ is the name of the thematic route around the Kaliningrad Region. As part of the regional program, the young people have already been on a sightseeing tour of Kaliningrad," the press service said.

The ‘Country Without Borders’ itinerary will showcase the region’s historical, cultural and natural diversity as well as the local cuisine. The guests are scheduled to travel to the Curonian Spit and to spend an evening watching Russian movies. On the first day of the festival’s regional program in Kaliningrad, the foreign visitors met with figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva, two-time silver medalist of the 2018 Olympics.

The World Youth Festival took place in the Sirius Federal Territory on March 1-7, 2024. Over 20,000 people from 190 countries attended it. The festival’s regional program is being held on March 10-17, with its participants visiting 30 Russian cities. TASS is the event’s general information partner.
