It is noted that Russians have a positive outlook with respect to Cabinet activities during the next three years

MOSCOW, January 20. /TASS/. The performance of the Russian Government meets the expectations of the majority of polled Russians, General Director of the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) Valery Fyodorov said on Friday at a press conference in TASS.

"The activity of the Russian Government meets the expectations of each second Russian (51%); 16% more said that the work of the Cabinet of Ministers is above expectations, 25% expected more, and 8% found it difficult to answer," Fyodorov said.

Russians with a good or very good level of prosperity believe the Government is coping with its responsibilities better than they expected: 25% vs. 7% of those who assessed their financial situation as poor. "The highest approval rate for the Russian Government’s work is in the Northwestern Federal District (22%) and the lowest - in the Central Federal District," the top manager said.

Russians have a positive outlook with respect to Cabinet activities during the next three years. "The number of optimists believing the Government will work better highly outnumbers pessimists (44% vs. 6%). No changes in the Government’s activities are expected by 42% of the population and an additional 8% found it difficult to answer," Fyodorov said.
