Kiev hands back hungry, dehydrated soldiers in prisoner exchange, LPR ombudswoman says

During their journey, they could not even drink water

LUGANSK, October 20. /TASS/. Ukraine has handed the servicemen of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) who were starving and dehydrated, LPR Human Rights Commissioner Viktoria Serdyukova told TASS on Wednesday after visiting the LPR servicemen released from Ukrainian captivity in prisoner exchange.

"Certainly, the Ukrainian soldiers, who were returning home to Ukraine from the LPR, were fed and provided with food and water during their trip. Our servicemen were deprived of food, nor were they given a chance to drink some water or to take some with them. During their journey, and it had taken quite a long time for them to be transported from the Lvov colony, they could not even drink water," she said after visiting the former prisoners of war in the Lugansk republican hospital.
