No doubts over Sputnik V effectiveness — Kremlin

Dmitry Peskov noted that "even those who are vaccinated can get infected"

MOSCOW, September 16. /TASS/. Russia’s leadership has no concerns over the effectiveness of the Sputnik V vaccine, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.

"No, no doubts", he said answering the question whether the effectiveness of Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine can be called into question after several dozen people in Russian President Vladimir Putin’s inner circle contracted the coronavirus.

Peskov added that "even those who are vaccinated can get infected. We have repeatedly said that a vaccine with a high percentage of protection prevents you from the intensive care unit in hospital and death, at the same time you can catch the virus and get over it easily," Kremlin spokesman concluded.
