MOSCOW, February 5. /TASS/. Researchers from the Moscow State University of Psychology and Education and the Center for Regenerative Medicine of the Edinburgh University have developed a neural network capable to give hints on the possibility to slow aging by changing hobbies and interests of an individual, the Izvestiya newspaper said on Sunday.
"We have identified thirteen personal resources influencing the aging rate - sports, order, creativity, intelligence, handwork, kindness, humor, spirituality, risk, nature, achievements, optimism, and communication," Professor of the Moscow University Tatiana Berezina said.
Specialists polled about 1,500 individuals from different Russian regions as part of the research. "A program - neural network was created on the basis of received data, which learned how to compare personal data of an individual and the effect of the hobby on the biological age," University researcher Albina Zimina said. "As a result, the program created a certain formula of dependence of human aging on his or her hobby, with personal traits addressed," she noted.
The neural network will furnish recommendations on the basis of analyzed data and demonstrate hobbies that can slow aging and the ones that can accelerate it, the newspaper informed.
