Cosmonaut Fedyayev to fly to ISS onboard Crew Dragon on February 26 or later-Roscosmos

According to Roscosmos, Andrey Fedyaev is currently undergoing pre-flight training in the United States

MOSCOW, January 19. /TASS/. Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyayev is set to fly to the International Space Station onboard the US company SpaceX’s spacecraft Crew Dragon no sooner than February 26, Roscosmos said on Thursday.

"According to NASA, Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyayev is set to fly to the International Space Station onboard the US spacecraft Crew Dragon as a member of the Crew-6 mission no sooner than February, 2023 as part of the seat-swap flights program," the company said in a statement.

According to Roscosmos, Fedyaev is currently undergoing pre-flight training in the United States. He will fly to the ISS with NASA astronauts Stephen Bowen and Woody Hoburg, as well as UAE astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi.

Roscosmos on July 15 said it signed an agreement on seat-swap flights to the ISS by Russian cosmonauts and US astronauts. Oleg Kononenko, Roscosmos cosmonaut team commander, said the deal stipulates three flights by Russian cosmonauts onboard Crew Dragon. As part of that program, US national Frank Rubio took off for the ISS onboard the Russian Soyuz MS-22 from Baikonur on September 21.
