MOSCOW, January 11. /TASS/. Moscow registered a snowfall record for January 11, with 9mm of snow received during the day, meteorologist Tatyana Pozdnyakova said.
"January 11 was snowy and windy in the capital region. There was thunder in the eastern part of the region at noon, when a cold front passed by. During the day, 1 to 3 mm of precipitation added to those received during the night. As a result, a new daily record of 9 mm was registered at the VDNKh [expo]," she said on her Telegram channel.
She specified that the previous record of 7.7 mm of precipitation was registered in 1960.
