Military engineers demine over 600 km of roads in new regions — Russian top brass

By now, in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, engineering units have demined over 48,000 hectares of land

MOSCOW, January 4. /TASS/. Engineering units of Russia’s Armed Forces continue demining works in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR) and in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions with over 600 kilometers of roads cleared, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"By now, in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, engineering units have demined over 48,000 hectares of land, 600 kilometers of roads, 240 kilometers of water lines, 770 kilometers of electric power lines, 125 kilometers of gas lines, about 4,300 buildings; over 1,264,000 explosive objects have been detected and eliminated, and major industrial and energy-generating facilities have been cleared of explosive objects," it said in a statement.
