DONETSK, January 26. /TASS/. Russian forces are learning how to destroy Leopard 2 and M1 Abrams tanks, even by using special educational materials, Yan Gagin, advisor to Acting DPR Head Denis Pushilin, said on Russian TV Thursday.

"Handbooks and brochures for personnel have been issued, which reveal, where and from what distance to better hit such foreign equipment. This includes Abramses and Leopards. Specifications of these vehicles are known, it is known where they are able to move along and where they can operate," he said.

Earlier, a number of Western nations disclosed their readiness to ship tanks to Ukraine. For instance, the US announced plans to provide 31 M1 Abrams tanks, while Germany confirmed that it would send 14 Leopard 2 tanks from its own stock and will authorize third countries to re-export German-made tanks to Ukraine. Warsaw announced the shipment of a tank company - up to 14 vehicles - to Kiev.
