Putin, Pashinyan hold bilateral talks in Yerevan

The previous meeting between Putin and Pashinyan took place in Sochi on October 31

YEREVAN, November 23. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan are holding bilateral talks in Yerevan on Wednesday on the sidelines of the summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

Earlier in the day, a session of the CSTO Collective Security Council had taken place to focus on key areas of cooperation within the CSTO and on pressing international and regional issues.

The previous meeting between Putin and Pashinyan took place in Sochi on October 31, when Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan held trilateral talks, also attended by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Putin had spoken to Aliyev over the phone prior to his meeting with Pashinyan. The two presidents touched upon the implementation of trilateral agreements ensuring security on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
