MOSCOW, March 26. /TASS/. The Russian Investigative Committee has revealed new cases of Ukrainian servicemen killing civilians in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk Region, Committee Spokeswoman Svetlana Petrenko announced.
"According to information obtained from local residents, we have established that in August-September 2024, in the village of Kazachya Loknya in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk Region, Ukrainian servicemen who illegally entered Russian territory killed at least two civilians sheltering in residential houses," she said.
Additionally, Ukrainian troops engaged in looting in the villages of Zaoleshenka, Kazachya Loknya, and Zamostye. They deliberately fired mortars into the streets, placed military equipment in private residential areas, and intentionally set fire to civilians' homes. "Under these circumstances, the main military investigative directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case under part 3 of Article 205 and part 3 of Article 356.1 of the Russian Criminal Code (terrorist act, looting)," Petrenko added.
She emphasized that all members of Ukraine's armed formations involved in these crimes would be identified and held accountable.
