MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. The West and its leaders have long since rejected diplomatic protocol and even the bounds of decency, in particular on the Ukrainian issue, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at a press conference following talks with Zimbabwean Foreign Minister Amon Murwira.
"Now [British Prime Minister Keir] Starmer and [French President Emmanuel] Macron boasted that they were putting something on paper, [Vladimir] Zelensky would be told what he should accept, and then they would go to [US President Donald] Trump to approve, and all this would then be presented to Vladimir Putin," he said.
"How is this from the point of view of diplomatic etiquette? I understand that etiquette is a conditional matter, and in real diplomacy it's not even etiquette, but decency has long been violated by the West, so there's nothing surprising in this."
