CAIRO, November 24. /TASS/. A Russian Emergencies Ministry flight carrying Russian nationals evacuated from the Gaza Strip is on its way to Moscow, a TASS correspondent reported.
The Emergencies Ministry’s Il-76 aircraft has departed from Cairo International Airport for Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport. The flight will last over five hours. Medical workers and the Emergencies Ministry’s psychologists are accompanying the evacuees.
This is the eighth flight organized to evacuate Russian nationals from Gaza. Earlier, 656 people, including 306 children, were brought to Russia.
The Emergencies Ministry said earlier that over 900 people had requested assistance in the evacuation from Gaza. The ministry’s spokesman Roman Okhotenko said on November 24 that more than 750 people had been evacuated from the conflict zone.
