No decision on federal district for new regions yet — Kremlin

Decisions will be made in due time if necessary, Dmitry Peskov said

MOSCOW, April 6. /TASS/. Russian authorities have not yet made any decision on whether a separate federal district is needed for new regions and different options are being explored, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters this Monday.

"No decisions have been made thus far in this regard; different options are being explored. Decisions will be made in due time if necessary," the press secretary to the Russian President said.

Chairman of Crimea’s State Council Vladimir Konstantinov said earlier that the issue of creating a federal district for the new territories was long overdue.
