MOSCOW, June 9. /TASS/. The Kremlin is unaware of what will become of captives from the Azovstal steel complex, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.
"I can’t answer this question. We don’t have any information on this score," he said, when asked if any decisions had been made on the fate of Azovstal captives brought to Russia.
Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov announced on May 20 that Russian troops had fully liberated the Azovstal plant where part of the Ukrainian forces from the city of Mariupol had been holed up. According to the Defense Ministry, over 2,400 people laid down their arms at the facility.
