Serbia pleased to accept Lavrov’s invitation, envoy says

Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selakovic said with confidence that the two countries would further develop their relations, dialogue and cooperation in specific sectors despite provocations

MOSCOW, June 7. /TASS/. Serbia has accepted the Russian foreign minister’s invitation for his Serbian counterpart to visit Russia with pleasure and expectations, and corresponding instructions have already been given, Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko said in an on-air broadcast of the Rossiya-24 television channel on Tuesday.

"[Serbia] has accepted [Russian Foreign Minister] Sergey Lavrov’s invitation for [Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola] Selakovic to visit Russia with great pleasure and expectations <...>. The president has given instructions to arrange the visit," Botsan-Kharchenko said, commenting on the recent move to block Lavrov’s visit to the Balkan country.

The Serbian diplomat also said with confidence that the two countries would further develop their relations, dialogue and cooperation in specific sectors despite provocations.
