Current aggravation in Donetsk most serious since 2014 — DPR information ministry

According to the DPR mission to the Joint Control and Coordination Center, Ukrainian troops fired two cluster missiles from the Smerch multiple missile launcher system and used 155mm artillery system

MOSCOW, May 30. /TASS/. The current aggravation of the situation in Donbass is the most serious since 2014, Daniil Bezsonov, Deputy Minister of Information of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), said on Monday.

"Donetsk has not been a peaceful city for a long time, <…> but what is going on now is a very serious aggravation. Last time such shelling attacks were reported in 2014," he said in an interview with the Solovyov Live television channel.

Bezsonov said earlier that that Ukrainian troops shelled Donetsk from 155mm M777 US howitzers. According to various official source, the death toll ranges from three to five, including a child born 2009.

According to the DPR mission to the Joint Control and Coordination Center, Ukrainian troops fired two cluster missiles from the Smerch multiple missile launcher system and used 155mm artillery system. It said that three educational establishments and two apartment blocks were damaged in central Donetsk.
