TASS, September 6. A Russian delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov has arrived in the Syrian capital city Damascus, SANA news agency reported on Sunday.
According to SANA, the Russian delegation will hold talks with Syria officials on issues of the development of bilateral cooperation in various spheres.
During a two-day visit to Damascus, the Russian delegation will take part in a meeting of the Russian-Syrian intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, technical and scientific cooperation. The previous meeting of the commission was held in Moscow in December 2019.
SANA released photos of the Russian delegation’s arrival featuring Russian president’s special envoy for the Middle East and African countries and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov meeting with Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister Ayman Sousan.
