Hospitals in Moscow treating 37 Crocus terrorist attack victims

According to Anastasia Rakova, nine more Moscow residents in critical condition were transferred from Moscow Region hospitals to Moscow’s medical facilities by airlift the next day

MOSCOW, April 5. /TASS/. Thirty-seven victims of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall are currently undergoing treatment in Moscow hospitals, the capital's Deputy Mayor for Social Development Anastasia Rakova said.

"Seeing as how Moscow specializes in urgent care, the toughest cases were brought to us as well as to federal clinics. On the night [after the terrorist attack], 85 patients were brought to our hospitals, and 13 patients were brought to federal hospitals. <...> To date, only 37 patients remain in the capital's hospitals, only three of whom are in severe condition," Rakova said.

According to her, nine more Moscow residents in critical condition were transferred from Moscow Region hospitals to Moscow’s medical facilities by airlift the next day. Many injured people were evacuated via medical airlift. "Thanks to helicopters coming and going non-stop, without turning off the engine, we were able to evacuate seven victims. These were patients in the most serious condition, and every second was at stake," the deputy mayor added.
