US didn’t register any release of radiation at nuclear plant in Ukraine — Pentagon

According to the Pentagon, there is no reason to doubt Russian claims that they are now in possession of that nuclear power plant

WASHINGTON, March 4. /TASS/. The US didn’t register any radiation release as a result of a fire at Zaporozhskaya nuclear power station in Ukraine, a senior US defense official told reporters on Friday.

"We do not assess any radioactive leakage," the official was quoted as saying by Jeff Seldin, a reporter at the Voice of America (designated as foreign agent in Russia), on Twitter.

"We have no reason to doubt Russian claims that they are now in possession of that nuclear power plant," the Pentagon official was also quoted as saying.
